Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was the first to be the first athlete to get a perfect 10 at an Olympic event. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci in the age group of six. She later became Romania's gymnastics coach. She competed for the very first time in the 1969 National junior championships. She finished 13th. Following that, she was crowned champion. In 1972, as part of an event for communist-controlled countries' juniors prior to the Olympic Games, she bagged three gold medals. After that, in 1973 and '74 she was the junior champion in all aspects. She defeated the Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva who was the five-time European Champion, in her debut senior international event in the year 1975. At this competition, she took home four golds as well as a silver. In 1976, she became the first female athlete to perform a reverse double salo on the uneven parallel bar as part of her dismount. She was the winner from the American Cup, held in New York City. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the entertainment business began in her teen years when she began doing figure skating alongside her younger cousin Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol was a professional in the entertainment business at the age of a teenager. In her early years she began her journey as Figure Skating Performer alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. The shows featured skating on ice and included theatre performances.
