Ashley Wagner was given birth to on 16 May 1991, in Heidelberg. In her early teens, Ashley found herself hanging in with girls who were older and this impacted her self-confidence because she believed they to appear more mature and according to her, prettier than her. Ashley describes herself as a "hot mess" as a teenager. Ashley's mom enrolled her in classes in modeling to help her gain more self-confidence. Ashley considered becoming a fashion model for a profession. Following being told that she was too short for modeling, Ashley considered becoming a lawyer and getting a degree in psychology. Ashley was able to convince her parents to allow her to attend the school which offers an integrated law and psychology programme. Prior to that, she was employed in establishments. Similar to her peers, Ashley has already started filming roles in other series, besides in the Twilight series. Ashley has said she'd be interested in doing future films as a Bondgirl Wonder Woman or even an actual superhero.
